001) What Is Down Syndrome?
A) About 6,000 babies with Down syndrome are born in the United States each year.
B) In the year 2000, an international team of scientists successfully identified and catalogued each of the approximately 329 genes on chromosome 21. This accomplishment opened the door to great advances in Down syndrome research.
C) There are three types of Down syndrome:  trisomy 21 (nondisjunction), translocation and mosaicism.

007) Signal Transduction :  transmission of molecular signals from outside the cell into the cell via cell-surface receptors. .... Link
009) Living things are classified using a system developed by Carl Linnaeus. Organisms are commonly named by the binomial system of genus and species.
009-B) According to the binomial system of nomenclature, every organism is designated a scientific name with two parts: Genus is written first and is capitalised (e.g. Homo) Species follows and is written in lower case (e.g. Homo sapiens)

011) Vascular refers to veins and arteries.
B) Xylem is a type of vascular tissue present in plants, which primarily transports water and nutrients from roots to stem and leaves.
C) The tissues that consist of blood vessels and lymphatic systems are referred to as vascular tissue. The tissues that do not have blood vessels and lymphatic vessels are referred to as avascular tissue.
D) What is vascular problem?
Vascular disease (vasculopathy) affects the blood vessels that carry oxygen and nutrients throughout your body and remove waste from your tissues. Common vascular problems happen because plaque (made of fat and cholesterol) slows down or blocks blood flow inside your arteries or veins.
012)
influx: an inflow of water into a river, lake, or the sea.
efflux: the flowing out of a substance or particle.

B) [Determination of the accumulation of nitrates in plant tissues]
014) What type of enzyme is amylase?
Amylases are a class of enzymes that catalyze the hydrolysis of starch into sugars such as glucose and maltose (Sundarram and Murthy, 2014).
015) What does dysglycemia mean?
Dysglycemia refers to blood sugar levels that go too low or too high. Diabetes is the best-known condition involving dysglycemia. It's a very common disease and one that costs money and lives.
016) What dyslipidemia means?
Dyslipidemia is the imbalance of lipids such as cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, (LDL-C), triglycerides, and high-density lipoprotein (HDL). This condition can result from diet, tobacco exposure, or genetic and can lead to cardiovascular disease with severe complications.
B) What dyslipidemia means?
Dyslipidemia is the imbalance of lipids such as cholesterol, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, (LDL-C), triglycerides, and high-density lipoprotein (HDL). This condition can result from diet, tobacco exposure, or genetic and can lead to cardiovascular disease with severe complications.
